May 7 2026MSA Table Tennis for ALL Abilities – DONALD
Table Tennis Program Serves Up Inclusion at Donald Primary School
Donald Primary School has once again demonstrated its strong commitment to inclusive sport and recreation by hosting a table tennis program for people of all abilities in its excellent stadium facilities. Mallee Sports Assembly sincerely thanks the school for its continued support.
Mallee Sports Assembly’s Project Officer, Rhonda Allan, coordinated the initiative, bringing together participants and support networks to create an engaging and welcoming environment. The program was further strengthened through collaboration with Donald High School, where students facilitated activities and helped participants develop their table tennis skills.
At the first session of the four-week program, accompanied by teacher Anthony Tatchell, four students contributed enthusiastically, supporting participants from McCallum Disability Services in St Arnaud, Woodbine, and other community members. Their involvement added great energy, encouragement, and support throughout the session.
A total of 24 people attended the first session, representing a wide range of abilities and experience levels. The program reinforces the message that participation is what matters most, encouraging everyone to be active regardless of skill level. The continued support from staff at participating day services has been vital in encouraging individuals to engage in physical activity, promoting not only health and fitness, but also social connection and overall well-being.
Mallee Sports Assembly extends its sincere thanks to all involved and looks forward to the upcoming sessions.
