June 16 20262026 Table Tennis for All Abilities – DONALD
A successful four-week All Abilities Table Tennis Program has recently concluded in Donald, with sessions held at the Donald Primary School stadium.
Mallee Sports Assembly extends its sincere appreciation to Donald Primary School for its ongoing support of inclusive sport and recreation initiatives through the provision of its excellent venue facilities.
Donald Primary School staff member Anthony Tatchell and his students once again played a valuable role in the delivery of the program, assisting with the facilitation of each session. Students planned and led a variety of fun warm-up activities before participants took to the table tennis tables, helping to create an engaging, welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone involved.
Participants travelled from McCallum Day Services in St Arnaud and Woodbine in Warracknabeal, along with several individual community members, to take part in the program. Throughout the four weeks, participants enjoyed developing their table tennis skills while engaging in a fun, supportive and socially connected environment.
The success of All Abilities programs lies in their emphasis on participation, inclusion and social connection rather than competition or skill level. Programs such as this provide important opportunities for people of all abilities to stay active, improve their physical and mental wellbeing, develop confidence and build meaningful social connections within their communities.
Mallee Sports Assembly thanks all participants, support staff, volunteers and partner organisations who contributed to the success of the program and looks forward to continuing to provide inclusive sport and recreation opportunities across the region.
