Congratulations, Shania McKinnon – March 2026 Monthly Winner – Cricket
Shania earned this recognition following an outstanding 2025/26 Sunraysia Cricket Association Women’s season, where she captained Mildura Settlers to the premiership while also claiming the Women’s Most Valuable Player award for the second consecutive year. The honour marked her fifth Women’s MVP award overall, underscoring her status as one of the region’s most accomplished cricketers.
A key contributor throughout the season, Shania polled strongly with 26 votes in the Women’s MVP count, finishing well clear of second place. Her performances with both bat and ball were instrumental in Mildura Settlers securing the premiership and being named the Sunraysia Cricket Association Women’s Team of the Year.In eighteen matches for Mildura Settlers CC Women and Mallee Murray Senior Women, Shania amassed 512 runs at an average of 128, with a top score of 51 retired. With the ball, Shania took 16 wickets at 11.13, with top figures of 3-14.As the March winner, Shania receives a voucher proudly sponsored by Intersport and is now eligible for the 2026 Community Bank Merbein & District 97.9 Triple M Northern Mallee Sports Star of the Year Awards, Peter Manolas Trophy.
