2025 Community Bank Merbein & District 97.9 Triple M Northern Mallee Sports Star Awards

Hamish’s December recognition follows an outstanding performance at the South Australian State Boxing Championships, where he claimed the gold medal in the 57kg division. After stepping up from the 54kg weight class, Hamish competed over two demanding days, winning both bouts to secure the state title, including a hard-fought victory over an opponent who had previously beaten him earlier in the year.

His strong results have since earned him selection to compete at the Australian Institute of Sport in a five-day round-robin tournament, where he will contest a place at the Boxing World Cup.

Across 2025, Hamish has built an impressive body of work, competing consistently at state and national levels. His year has been highlighted by success at the Boxing SA 2025 Club Championships, victory at the Hogarth Cup in Mildura, and selection for the South Australian state team at the Australian Titles for a third consecutive year.
