2024 Community Bank Merbein & District 97.9 Triple M Northern Mallee Sports Star of the Year Awards

Jack Carter has been selected as the 2024 Community Bank Merbein & District 97.9 Triple M Northern Mallee Sports Star of the Year for the month of November.

Jack was nominated by the Sunraysia Academy of Sport. Jack won the 2023/2024 Matthew Knights Overall Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2024 Sunraysia Academy of Sports Awards Night. This award was open to all athletes and programs running from September 2023 to October 2024 – a total of 110 athletes. At the same awards night, Jack also won the 2023/2024 Individual Athlete Support Program Outstanding Athlete Award, out of 18 eligible athletes.

Earlier in 2024, Jack attended at the Oceania BMX Freestyle Championships in Brisbane, competing in the Over 15 Amateur Male event. Out of seven other competitors who had qualified to compete in this international event in his division, Jack placed third – taking home the bronze medal. Jack also achieved National level placing in March 2024, finishing 12^th and 4^th.

As the November winner Jack received a voucher proudly sponsored by Intersport and is now eligible for the 2024 Community Bank Merbein & District 97.9 Triple M Northern Mallee Sports Star of the Year Awards – Peter Manolas Trophy. Congratulations Jack………………
