2024 Active Youth Program – Beverford Primary School

The MSA in partnership with the Beverford Primary School finished their very first Active Youth Program with Grade 4, 5 & 6 students from the local school.
The activities were co-designed with the students and focussed on encouraging our youth to participate in regular physical activity and making positive life choices.; and looking at the barriers & issues which can influence participation in sport & active recreation.
The sessions included:
1. Disability Awareness Session to develop a greater understanding and awareness of people with disabilities; focus on ability, access, and inclusion.
2. Drugs & Alcohol – facilitated by the Swan Hill Police
3. Bat Tennis
4. Bullying Issues -conducted by Headspace (Swan Hill)
5. Lawn Bowls with Swan Hill Racecourse Bowls Club
6. Dance/Pilate Session with dance instructor from the Swan Hill Aquatics & Recreation Centre.
A huge thank you to all who have assisted to ensure the program was a success and supporting our young people to “Participate, Feel GREAT!
