Please see below information for flood assistance and it is recommended to download the Vic Emergency app for emergency notifications and further local information on assistance can be found on your local council website.

Flood Recovery & Relief Grants

Flood Recovery Hotline – 1800 560 790 (press 9 for an interpreter) between 7.30am – 7.30pm every day. Contact the Flood Recovery Hotline for assistance with what support is available, clean-up programs, temporary accommodation and mental health support.

Victorian Government Emergency Relief Payment

Payments are available for those affected by the October 2022 floods. The relief payment can help to pay for immediate needs including food, shelter, clothing, medication and accommodation. Applications will be assessed on a case by case basis.

The Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment is a one-off, non-means tested Australian government payment for $1000 for eligible adults and $400 for children affected by the October 2022 floods.

Community Sport Emergency Flood Assistance Program

Payments of $5,000.00 are available to sporting clubs directly affected by the floods, to help them meet some initial upfront costs of item and equipment to help communities get back on the field as soon as possible. Clubs can apply for the grants from Friday 21 October 2022.
