Cane Ball

MSA Cane ball at Mildura Sporting Precinct

On 6th November MSA hosted a day of cane ball at the Mildura Sporting Precinct with members of the local Karenni community. Cane ball is the national sport of Myanmar, and is played with an elevated net, a court similar to a badminton court, and a woven ball that sounds like a basket when hit. Players may use their feet, knees, shoulders, chest and head to touch the ball, and is similar to a combination of volleyball and soccer. If you are interested in playing caneball, please contact us via email at lachlan@malleesportsassembly.org.au, phone at 0477 960 219, or via Facebook.
